Do You know about the Dresden Challenge?

I'm working on a double-pointed rainbow dresden on black--have 40 sets of 5 blades sewed, 4 of them already appliqued to background and sewed together--see pic--and another set of 4 pinned to background ready to applique.  Not sure how many full circles, how many half circles (quilt sides, top and bottom) but I know I need 4 1/4 circles for the corners, LOL!
Here's link for the Challenge:

Back from El's Induction at Quilter's Hall of Fame

Here's some photos of some of El's quilts on display (now at Quilter's Hall of Fame but I took pics at Marion Library), challenge quilts made in her honor (on display) and a photo of me with El and friends at the dinner!

Beginner's Quilt Along update

Beginner's Quilt Along (it's a Mystery!)

(see button at right)
Hi all,
Pat Sloan & Michelle at Quilting Gallery Blog (http://quiltinggallery.com/2012/05/31/beginners-quilt-along-fabric-requirements-and-reliable-iron-give-away/) are hosting a Mystery Quilt a long (see link button on the side at the right)--join us. I haven't decided for sure what fabrics I'll be using but I'm leaning towards either South Sea's Essential Scrolls (I have oodles) or Northcott's Stonehenge (also oodles of these)!! I'd use Pat's Eat Your Fruits and Veggies (especially the batiks) but they are not out yet!! If you want a sneak peek at these Pat's lucious fabrics (and seriously cool pattern!) look here:

Donation to Quilter's Hall of Fame

This is in El's honor.  Had to make a 24"  using at least one block from one of El's patterns (free from webside, booklets or books).  I chose Liberty Star from Victory Quilts, used the same fabrics I did on my Victory Quilt (which made the book!!!)  Sent in with $10 and they get to keep it (I think they will be auctioned).  There will be a "Vote for your favorite" with pennies..I added a pic of my Victory Quilt with El on one side and me on the other!
